OMFG TANZMETALL POSTS ABOUT THE PRIMARIES AGAIN!!!!!
Mike Gravel is still running from his problems. Like, that he had only raised $380,000 by the end of the third quarter of 2007, or that he received 400 votes–four hundred votes–of 280,000 in New Hampshire. Or that, since then, he has apparently lost to candidates who had dropped out of the race. Also, Never Forget: Michigan, where he lost by more than an order of magnitude to “Uncommitted”. Oh, and P.S., the primary there was meaningless.

Now to be frank, I like his views (rather a lot actually), but isn’t there some point at which you think to yourself, “Gee, the media isn’t really paying any attention to my make-believe campaign… maybe I should bow out gracefully while I may yet recover my dignity.” That point was New Hampshire, and he’s well beyond it now. Maybe he’s just forgotten he’s still running? He is kinda old, after all. And it is so hard to remember to campaign across the nation when you have to fit it in between grocery trips and prostate exams.

It’s not even like he’s a pretend candidate like Edwards was–Edwards could have played Kingmaker by stealing lots of votes from one of the other candidates. But Gravel can only play “Man who made a weird video about dropping a rock in a pond on YouTube” and make weird videos about dropping rocks in ponds on YouTube. It doesn’t matter how many views, comments, or honors that video gets, he won’t impact the election in any way, direct or indirect.
