Is Obama Really Informed Enough to Lead?

The front-runner in the Democratic primary race, Barack H. Obama is certainly seen by many as a capable future leader and a respectable candidate, especially compared to his competitors Hillary Clinton and John McCain. However, recently on an interview for “Hardball” Obama admitted that he didn’t watch cable news.

Suddenly, thousands of Hillary supporters that used to seemed so insane that you would swear the mouth-froth wasn’t just for the image started to make more sense. After all, if Obama doesn’t watch cable news, how can he possibly be informed enough to lead the country?

We all know that cable news stations are the ultimate source of truth. They are fair, balanced, and report everything that the American people need to know. They cover important issues like Avian Flu, the ravings of Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and the antics of our friend, OJ Simpson. At any given time, one can get a good look at the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which we all know is a perfect indicator of market performance because it reflects only thirty out of thousands of publicly traded companies. Masses of complicated statistics are simplified there for all of us in the form of rotating 3-D bar graphs. Our minds aren’t inundated with complicated matters like Iraqi Hydrocarbon Law: That’s technical stuff, and it’s really none of our business. Cable news is the place where all responsible citizens should get their information, to be informed voters and members of society.

Still, Obama refuses to pay any attention to this vital source of truth. How can he lead our country without getting to know His World with Neil Cavuto? I ask you, Clunkline (and you can answer me on the forums,) how could someone without this vital knowledge run the country?

It’s preposterous.
