Okay, are we being too harsh? This is obviously somebody’s first attempt at failingly emulating comedy. I will not seek him out or actually send him this email; there’s no need to crush his spirits, I’m ranting because I hate him, but I can’t help him realize that he’s drawing crap. Only he can do that, and he’s a long way away from that grown-up realization. Telling him what I think won’t change his mind, and if it did, it would give me fewer things to rant about. Why would I want that?

So it’s a juvenile, flaccid attempt at edgy comedy. Whatever. I’d normally let it slide. But what kills me is that he obviously thinks it’s the shit. He’s tried desperately to make money off it like it’s a million-dollar cash cow that laid a golden egg. It’s unforgivable. There’s no redeeming it. There’s no excusing it. He appears to honestly expect, with his advertising campaign, to get readers, and after that, to get money from his own ads, and it will never happen. When I was 13, I drew comics too, but I kept them to myself and my friends, and even though they were shit, they were a hell of a lot funnier than incorrectly-ordered, half-executed, been-there-done-that jokes about gay porn trolls. And I know a spectacular writer who peaked at 12. (Don’t believe me? Maybe someday, if I convince him to contribute, and you’ll understand.) So it’s possible. But StudKickass is trying to sell his soul before he understands what having a soul is like. And I just cannot take that lying down.
Stud Kickass: A Webcomic for the Ages of 12 – 14. I cannot see any readership for this other than middle-school boys with no potential, who someday will become wards of the state and are already failures at life.
Sounds depressingly like the main character.
