WASHINGTON
The nation was shocked today to find George W. Bush of Texas is still the chief executive of the United States. This news comes as a total surprise to many who thought Barack Obama, John McCain, or, to a much lesser extent, Sarah Palin was president, or were unaware that this country had a presidential office.
“Well, shoot, I wasn’t sure about the whole thing myself.”, said Hewey Karesh of Wyoming. “I mean, how long has this Bush been president anyway? I took a look at his record and I’m not sure why he has been allowed to stay there.”
Karesh’s sentiments were echoed by the town assembly of El Guadeloupe, NM today when they made national news by refusing to recognize what they called “Washington trickery”.
Consulting with Constitutional scholar and national elections expert James Blake, we learned Mr. Bush is still vested with roughly 100 days of his office, at which point he will be replaced by Barack Obama.
